About Us

Grace Alison Olnowich (1909-1999)

The wonderful woman shown here was the inspiration for this foundation. Her daughter, Ruth Anne Tschudin, launched Open Doors in 1999 in memory of the woman whose goodness and love so impacted her life. Grace's last home is now being used for the New Horizons program. Ruth's father (Grace's husband), Howard (1909-1986), is equally loved and admired by Ruth.

Ruth Anne Tschudin (1943- )

Founder of Open Doors, is a teacher, author, Biblical storyteller and eternal child who can drive you crazy! She thinks big, works hard and leaves the logistics to God and others. Despite her many flaws and failures, she has made a difference - and you can, too! Her vision of an all-volunteer organization that can support itself and its projects is already in full swing. Won't you give it a push in your own unique way?
